Bourbon House is a true gem in the heart of the French Quarter! We were able to get a party of 7-8 seated within minutes of calling — a rare win in New Orleans, especially on a busy night. And the views of Bourbon Street from our table? Perfect. You get the full NOLA energy without being overwhelmed by the crowd. The restaurant itself is very spacious, with upstairs and downstairs seating, plus a private area for events or more intimate gatherings. It’s clearly designed to handle large groups and parties with ease. What really stood out was the attentiveness of the wait staff. From start to finish, they were welcoming, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful — whether you’re a local New Orleanian who knows good, homemade flavor, or a visitor looking for your first real bite of the city, they know what to recommend. They’ll tell you what’s popular, what’s bold, and what dishes hit closest to home-style cooking. Start with the BBQ shrimp — it’s a must. Loaded with flavor and New Orleans soul. The chargrilled oysters were tasty, though a bit less buttery than Acme or Drago’s, and not quite as moist. Still enjoyable! The crab claws were meaty, hearty, and delicious — just wish the portion was a bit more generous because they disappear fast. Not every dish is perfect, but even the ones that don’t quite hit the mark are still solid. It’s the kind of place where you enjoy the full experience, not just the food. And the drinks? Wow. The signature frozen milk punch is a creamy dream for anyone who loves dessert-style cocktails. Add to that an incredible selection of bourbons — if you’re a bourbon lover, you’ll be in heaven. Overall, Bourbon House offers great food, incredible service, fast seating, and unbeatable Bourbon Street views. Whether you’re hosting guests or just treating yourself, this place hits all the right notes. We’ll definitely be back.

Fabulous oyster bar!! Fresh raw oysters here are top notch, I was walking in and seated at the bar area by myself as a first come first served basis at the bar. Everything was amazing I would recommend to everyone, hands down.

Nice restaurant off of Bourbon! We had Charbroiled Oysters which were nice and garlicky with a little chew. Bob had Shrimp Stuffed Mirliton which he really enjoyed. My Shrimp & Grits were fabulous!

Espy was the best server I have ever had. Wow! She had phenomenal recommendations, was soooo kind, and attentive! I was blown away. This place is great, but Espy is amazing! Come and request to be seated with her :)

I rated 5 stars because not only was the food good. Our waitress, Dorika, was the best. She was attentive to taking our order and gave suggestions when needed. We felt tremendously comfortable. And then delicious shrimp and grits were served, New Orleans style. Delicious.
